Michael Begg is an exploratory composer based in East Lothian, Scotland. His work
is located in the place where formal composition and electronic erosion meet; a liminal
space coloured by longing and discomfort. He won a New Music Scotland award for his
Cryptic commission for the Sonica Festival; TITAN, and, upon completing a residency
at CMMAS, Mexico, is currently Associate Artist in Residence at the Queen’s Hall,
Edinburgh.
